"What an absolute gem of an establishment. We were taken here by relations for lunch and a beautiful lunch was had. The service and food was impeccable. The regulars dined on curries. Those who were invited guests dined on Hereford beef and gnocchi and finished with a champagne sorbet and a Calvados and coffee. It was so nice to dine surrounded by history and to enjoy delicious food with fantastic company. Thank you to The Oriental Club for a lovely afternoon."
"The Oriental Club in London remains one of the city’s most distinguished and discreet private members’ clubs—a place where tradition, refinement, and exclusivity are woven into every corner of its elegant interiors. Long regarded as a home for many notable and influential figures over its storied history, the Club retains an atmosphere of quiet prestige that is increasingly rare. What sets the Oriental Club apart is not only its heritage but the sense of belonging it offers to those who appreciate its values and culture. Behind its impressive façade lies a genuinely welcoming environment, where members who share a taste for history, civility, and understated luxury find themselves immediately at ease. Whether enjoying the richly appointed rooms, the warmth of the staff, or the calm of its private spaces, visitors quickly understand why the Club holds such enduring appeal. For new members who have completed the numerous hurdles prior to joining what at times seems so illusive. The Oriental Club is far more than an experience it is an introduction to a world that feels both exclusive and remarkably personal for those who fit its character."
"A regular non-member and n advocate of this establishment for their excellent service (when not too busy) and great food with both varieties and quality. Beautiful newly decorated dining room which is a huge boost to their overall appeal. Recent drawback is the lack of the strict rules around their dress code as you see many young members and/or guests without jackets."
"The Oriental Club, nestled in the heart of London's Mayfair, offers a historical charm and modern elegance.the menu features a fusion of Eastern and Western flavors, with dishes like Keralan Prawn Curry, Old Delhi Style Chicken Makhani, and Malai Methi Corn Paneer, onion bhajis and a lot more!"
"A private-members club steeped in rich history going back 200 years when it was a haven for returning officers from India and the Far East. Moved to Stratford House in 1962 and is marketed as a “home from home”. Great historical touches thought out the building. Impressive architecture. Attentive staff and stunning meals. Can obtain a members joining pack from reception. Need to be nominated by a member. Annual membership fees apply. Great experience."
