"Was going to trade my car as did not want the hassle of private sale, but also wanted to dollars. So did a Car Sales Instant Quote just to get an idea of value first. What a quick, simple and transparent process. Car Sales gave a $1000 band width of likely value, was referred to a buyer who was also excellent, sent pics and answered questions exactly as Car Sales had explained and quickly offered a firm amount at the high end of the band. I did test drives with dealers and trade in was $4k below the offer, even when I advised them they were still over $2k below. Back to the buyer and a quick inspection and short test drive, all about 10 mins, paperwork done and money in my account a few hours later. Yep, I did not believe this was going to happen but bingo it did, great process, oh and no obligation and no cost, if you don’t like it stop at any time !"
"Absolute waste of time, this business has been completely replaced by Facebook market place. Do not bother paying for advertising on their site if your car is worth less than $50k. Recently advertised on both sites. Had 40 enquiries on Facebook within 48 hours and sold vehicle in 3 days. So far not one message from car sales.. Facebook $0, Carsales $150.."
"DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY Ads on carsales do not get enough traction & is not good value for money. I had more scammers contact me through carsales than I did through Facebook marketplace which was surprising as carsales is a paid service. I had 20times more people contact me through Facebook marketplace than carsales enquiring about vehicle. Overall save your money & post elsewhere other than carsales. It is a poor service & I won't recommend to friends"
