"Clio Took our money and never provided a workable program for us to use. They said they would provide a refund, but we have not seen any money back. When I email them, they ignore my emails. Calling only gets me in touch with a customer service person who is unable to make any decisions. This company has scammed us out of thousands of dollars"
"Absolutely disgusted with this company. Our firm made the mistake of signing on with Clio in October 2025 because our current legal software would no longer be supported. Clio’s sales guy, Miguel, gave us a “deal” of $1,259.27 per month for 7 licenses. Miguel arranged a 3rd party migration firm to move our data to Clio with a “go live date” of December 1st. When it became glaringly obvious that the migration team could not go live on December 1st, we pushed the launch date to January 1st. At this point, I began to have some major concerns about the management of our project. I had already paid for the 7 licenses through Clio, but there was nobody from Clio managing our firm’s migration. I sent an email to the only contact I had at Clio, Miguel, asking for a call to discuss. 24 hours later, I received a call from Clio’s technical support team asking what technical issue I had with the software. Since my issue was not software related, Clio’s technical support could be of no assistance to me. I repeatedly emailed Miguel asking for the name and contact information of someone at Clio who could oversee this project. Every time I reached out, the technical support team would call me, not be able to help, and I would be back a square one. By this time, our current software had lost support, putting our firm in a very vulnerable position. Once again as we neared the new launch date, the migration team was nowhere near ready. I hired an IT team to clone my computers in case my current software crashed. I closed my company down to facilitate the migration. I lost thousands of dollars as a direct result of the mismanagement of this project. When the launch date had to be pushed again, I became more aggressive with my emails, demanding that someone at Clio to oversee this project to keep it on the rails and to prevent further expense and potential disaster for my firm. The January launch date came and went. We rescheduled for February 1st. January was more of the same issues, frustrations and loss of revenue for our firm. The launch date was pushed to March 1st for the same reasons. I sent a few final emails in early February begging for help from Clio, pleading to be given the contact information of someone to mitigate this disaster. Those emails were never answered. We had to make the decision to pull out and try to recover some of the costs. I had no way of even cancelling my account since I was never provided contact information. Instead, I logged into my Clio account and tried to cancel my licenses. I was redirected to a toll-free number to cancel. When I spoke to the Clio “retention department”, they advised they would call me back to cancel. I never received a call back. I followed up and was finally able to cancel my licenses. I requested a refund. Clio’s retention department said they would issue a full refund since I had never even used their software. I have still not received a refund. We are lucky that our firm was able to survive Clio’s negligence. A lot of smaller firms would not have been so lucky. Beware: it seems this company’s only concern is taking your money."
"Clio is the real deal. I have tested their software after clients recommended them and becuase our litigation consulting practice at Blue Ocean has grown so much, we are about to become a client.
