"As a business owner, I’m usually reluctant to leave negative reviews knowing the weight they carry but CLMG has more than earned this one. Avoid at all costs. What was promised as a 1–2 month project has dragged on for 6 months, and somehow they still claim it’s “complete.” Spoiler: it’s not. They demanded upfront payment for services like a photoshoot which never even happened due to their own overpromising on dates which they could not meet. When asked for a refund for 3 months due to the photoshoot not taking place, they refused, claiming the funds were “absorbed” into the website scope which CLMG committed to. Convenient excuse especially considering the site is still unfinished. CLMG overpromises, underdelivers, and then gaslights you into thinking that's acceptable. Save yourself the frustration and your money. Lastly, Toby (Commercial Director) has decided to wash CLMG's hands of it by asking me to call Misha - ex Co Founder who no longer works for CLMG to chase down my funds. Update to respond to Toby's reponse on 26/05/2025 Thank you for your response, but I must respectfully clarify several inaccuracies presented here: 1. Scope and Timeline: There was no change to the original scope of work. What you're referring to as "scope changes" were simply discussions around additional work that never progressed due to CLMG’s consistent lack of follow-through and delayed communication. These were never formally reviewed, costed, or approved – so claiming these were “agreed upon in writing” is misleading at best. The project dragged out not because of added scope, but because of missed deadlines, slow responses, and broken commitments. A 1–2 month project took 6 months and is still not complete. That’s not a timeline extension – that’s mismanagement. 2. Photoshoot Payment: Payment for a photoshoot was taken upfront but never delivered. There was no formal agreement that this payment would be reallocated, and at no stage was there transparency around how the funds were “absorbed” into other deliverables. I requested a refund for a service that never occurred and was told the funds had simply been redirected – without consent or justification. That is not acceptable business practice. 3. Communication & Accountability: Suggesting that referring me to a former co-founder was done out of convenience for me is disingenuous. Toby, as Commercial Director, should be accountable for project outcomes. Passing me off to someone who no longer works day-to-day in the business – and who I had to chase for weeks – further demonstrates a lack of ownership, not a “trusted communication path.” Finally, it’s clear I’m not alone in this experience. A quick glance at your other Google reviews reveals a pattern of overpromising, poor communication, and projects not being delivered as expected. That consistency across client feedback speaks volumes. My original review stands. CLMG failed to deliver on what was promised, took payment for services not rendered, and then attempted to reframe the narrative rather than resolve the issue. If you’re reading this as a potential client: approach with caution. I welcome a genuine resolution — not spin."
"THE WORST MARKETING COMPANY IN MELBOURNE!! Working with CLMG has been nothing short of a nightmare. Over the span of three months, I dealt with 10 different people due to their inability to retain staff. There was zero consistency, and every conversation felt like starting from scratch. Despite promises made in the scope for animation and creative work, none of it was delivered. Their lack of professionalism, constant communication failures, and inability to deliver promised creative assets have been extremely frustrating. The last (of the 3 I dealt with over the course of 5 months) client Manager (Manal) was extremely hard deal with and washed her hands as soon as the notice of disengagement was provided, despite from their original contract scope not having been delivered. To make matters worse, they launched ads without any form of approval or consent—an absolute breach of trust. Communication is non-existent, and when feedback is provided, they either ignore it or claim they’re too busy to make revisions. The quality of their creatives is shockingly poor, and they outright refuse to take accountability or improve. Budget mismanagement make them unreliable and untrustworthy. It's clear that they prioritize their own interests over their clients. If you're looking for a reliable and professional marketing agency, steer FAR AWAY from CLMG at all costs!! They’ve been nothing but a waste of time, money, and energy., and their work fell far below expectations despite being outlined clearly. There are far better agencies out there—this one isn’t worth your time or investment."
