"Note: This review is on the Hub Café, not on the Hub Co-work Office (I have never used the Hub Co-work office). As a coffee lover, I visited hundreds of different cafés / coffee shops in Sydney and Melbourne. I usually consume two cups coffee per day. Before my first arrival to Adelaide a few months ago, my colleagues told me that everything is more expensive in Adelaide, including coffees. They also told me that coffees in Adelaide are generally less good if comparing with Sydney. Of course, it's further down if comparing with Australia's coffee capital, Melbourne (this was my friends' personal opinions and hope it is not offensive to anyone). So I was a bit worried when I first arrived Adelaide as I wondered I might not be able to find good coffee at reasonable prices to refresh me in the morning and in the afternoon. Luckily, not too long after I started working in Adelaide, I visited the Hub, which situates less than 100 m from my office. I would not say their coffee is the best in town but at least their coffee are consistent in terms of taste and temperature (I meant reasonably hot enough). Their staff were very nice and the Cafe was quite spacious and usually they were not packed with a dozens of customers whenever I visited. As I was absolutely happy with their coffee and their prices were not higher than Sydney or Melbourne, it became my hidden gem since 3 months ago and I am still visiting the Hub once or twice per day."
"If you are looking for a great co-working space that is full of fantastic people, then Hub Adelaide is perfect for you. The facilities are amazing and inspire you to do your best work. Everyone is so warm, friendly and welcoming. Mahalia and the team have created such a great culture. They really look after the members and you really feel like you are part of a great community. Joining Hub Adelaide has made work even more pleasant. I'm getting more done while enjoying what I do more. Highly recommend becoming a member."
"Coffee shop refuses to take cash, and to print a physical receipt upon request, which the staff I spoke to said "most costumers complain about it". Instead, the business gives you no choice you to "sign on" to a "square payment system" to receive an email with the tax invoice attached, and I must search in my mailbox at the end of each month to do my expenses report, not a great use of my time. By all means, send an email "invoice" to the customers that wants to, and please get a printer and a till, like every coffeeshops do. The business claims it does this for "hygiene" and "convenience"... Coffee and the workplace upstairs are all right though, but I won't be back with my clients there."
"Poor Form - C-Suite made all the full-time staff redundant. Management, Cafe, Front Desk everyone!!!...... Clubhouse culture was built by these people - Maxine, Bec, Matt Now it's lost that entirely, we won't be staying and I don't suggest anyone signs up - better going to Lot 14."
"The Hub Adelaide is an excellent collaborative work space, with excellent staff. The Hub gave our business a professional footprint in the CBD when we were getting started, and our experience has been entirely positive."
