"This was my mum’s partner’s first check up one week after a hospital stay for heart surgery, his first time out of the house. We walk up to the receptionist while my mum is parking the car and he says he’s here to see Dr. ____ and a nurse afterwards. She asks him his name, which he gives, then she asks ‘You’re here to see a nurse?’ to which he replies ‘Also a doctor’. She asks him again ‘What’s your name’ and he smiles, and without any malice says ‘Same as it was a minute ago’ and gives her his name. At this point her whole demeanour changes, tells him it’s difficult to hear because the counter is so high (it’s ridiculously high for sure) and that voices echo around behind there. She then proceeds to stab him with kindness, forcefully talking through a smile and annunciating each syllable with utter ‘politeness’. She tells us ‘Floor two, blue waiting area’ We get up there and wait, but 25 minutes later and 15 minutes after the appointment time my mum is worried and goes downstairs to check with someone. They tell her ‘No it’s on the third floor, orange waiting area’ So here’s the question. Did this lady send us to the wrong floor and waiting room on purpose? Guess we’ll never know. I think you have a responsibility to care for all people walking through that door, as some of them are going to be in very vulnerable states. His joke might have been a bit of a ‘dad joke’ but it was clearly delivered with no ill intent. PS. Apparently the appointment with the doctor was great, with clear communication and very helpful. Thank you, and apologies for the low rating."
"I have always found this surgery to be exceptionally good. Every new premises has teething problems. The staff are professional, polite and always try to help. I think I'm very lucky to be a patient here."
"The new surgery needs to be thought through from the patient’s viewpoint. It’s not easy to access for those with limited mobility. The nearest car park is Sainsbury’s and it now means crossing two busy roads. The reception counter is far too high and the internal signage extremely poor. The only wheelchair available had two flat tyres. On the first floor there was no receptionist nor anyone to assist with directions and apparently patients are now advised of appointments by watching the tv screen. However, the screen is only visible to those actually facing it. Those sitting with their backs to the screen or have poor eyesight will remain unaware they are being called. I fall to understand why an audible invitation to attend cannot be reinstated. Please, please think about the patients first, most of whom are there because they need your help."
"Central Surgery GP practice in Farnham is an excellent surgery. The premises are new, clean, spacious and accessible. The telephone service is fairly prompt, you don't have to wait on hold for ages. I've always had a prompt response to online requests for an appointment or to discuss a health issue. There are several GPs, the 3 I've met are excellent, and especially my regular GP. Any health issues have been quick and effectively dealt with. I recommend this practice highly to anyone looking to register with a GP practice in Farnham."
"My mother goes here and the service surrounding the actual GPs has been awful - they don't approve repeat prescriptions and it's incredibly inifficient. Whenever I see her she has a different complaint about them."
