"Over the past 40 years we have stayed in over 100 holiday properties and Wakes Hall Lodges is one of the best. We stayed in Campion Lodge which benefitted from excellent rural views towards the fishing lake and beyond. It was always very peaceful and quiet and perfect for dog walking. It's location is also near to many places of interest, including two good pubs (the Swan and the Thatchers Arms). Our lodge was very clean, spacious and well equipped. It had air conditioning in both the large living area and the bedroom which was particularly welcome given the external temperatures! We also made use of the hot tub which offered privacy. Other nice touches were a generous welcome hamper and bath robes and slippers. We were impressed with all the staff we came into contact with, from the cleaning ladies to Helen in the Office, not forgetting Jason and Dominic - all were very friendly and informative and helped make our holiday so enjoyable."
