"I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Get Found First has been frustrating enough that I feel obligated to warn other small business owners. I hired Get Found First for digital marketing/SEO and encountered significant billing and communication issues from the start. Early on, I noticed I was being charged a full month of SEO fees despite a lack of clear communication about the work. Only after I personally questioned the invoice did they admit SEO had only started partway through the month and then prorated the fee. That showed billing was only corrected after I caught the mistake, not because they were proactively accurate or transparent. I was also told I was set up on auto‑pay and did not need to pay manually. I consistently received monthly QuickBooks invoice emails, which always landed in my inbox without issue, and none of them indicated that my card was being declined or that there was any billing problem. Then, after what I later learned were multiple “missed” payments, a lump charge of around $3,000 suddenly went through. Again, there had been no clear outreach, no phone call, no personal email explaining that payments had been failing or that a large balance was building up. Despite that experience, the pattern repeated. Months later, out of nowhere, another charge of over $4,000 went through. Once again, I had never been clearly notified that my card was supposedly declining for months leading up to that point. Their explanation was essentially that “the bank kept declining it and then eventually released it.” That does not align with how payment systems typically work and ignores their responsibility to communicate and resolve billing issues in real time instead of quietly retrying until a large amount finally processes. When I raised these concerns, they acknowledged they are “working to improve” their follow‑up process but still insisted on keeping all of the accumulated charges, framing everything as if it was simply the bank’s fault and that because services were delivered, I should just accept the bills. To be clear: I am not disputing that services were rendered. I am disputing that they were billed correctly and communicated appropriately at the time. Dropping surprise multi‑thousand‑dollar charges on a small business, first around $3,000 and then over $4,000, after months of silent “failed payments,” is not how a trustworthy partner behaves. I own a fence business. If I made a $1,000 change order to a fence for one of my customers and my team forgot to include that change order on the invoice, I would not show up four months later and say, “Whoops, our billing team missed this, you owe us $1,000.” That would be my mistake, not the customer’s. I expect the same standard from companies I work with, and Get Found First did not meet that standard. I would not use this company again and would strongly recommend that any business considering them 1) closely watch invoices, 2) confirm in writing how billing and auto‑pay actually work, and 3) be prepared for reactive rather than proactive communication on billing issues. In my experience, Get Found First has not demonstrated the transparency or reliability I expect when it comes to my business and my money."
