"Unfortunately, our experience with Ideenhunger was mixed. On the one hand, the team was incredibly professional, communicative, and accommodating at the beginning—but shortly after, things fell apart. The final product, like the design, is really good, hence the 3 stars—everything else was…well. We generally approved AI-generated adjustments, but some of the results were unacceptable. Images (which appear in their original form on other websites) were manipulated by AI in such a way that the original image was altered to the point where anyone could tell it was done by some AI. You don't need to be a professional to see that—it was truly awful. Furthermore, the AI ​​completely changed our texts, rendering some of them technically nonsensical. There was also an upselling attempt during the process, coupled with the managing director's claim that we were demanding our project be prioritized over all others. This is demonstrably false, and no correction was made. They simply accepted something and sent it out without verifying the facts. Since then, this managing director has stayed out of our project, just as he did before. We were neither informed about the packages offered by our chosen hosting provider, nor about the costs associated with exceeding the package limits (which we were simply unaware of). High costs can arise if you exceed these limits – we handled the website optimization ourselves. The second managing director asked us in a phone call which package his own (!) team had booked. In the "final meeting," we were told that they hadn't been able to perform the quality control (which we had already criticized beforehand) because we had taken the site online ourselves after discovering further issues. Another employee emailed us to say that we could now go live, specifying a date – which also implies that quality control had been completed. I can't and won't judge what's true; it's bad enough that there are conflicting statements. The final quality control was explained in vague terms, like "I'll just take a look at it on the couch" once the most meticulous employee has gone through the catalog – they couldn't/wouldn't tell us exactly what was being checked. An external party pointed out that our project was "leaked" by ideenhunger during a meeting and screen sharing session. Everyone can decide for themselves how to interpret this, but for us, it's unacceptable in a professional collaboration. Because of these incidents, we have terminated all further cooperation, including in the area of ​​SEA marketing. They refused to discuss any form of compensation via email or phone, insisting on another (and in our opinion, unnecessary) Teams meeting. To keep the assessment accurate, it should be mentioned that the agency apologized several times in our last conversation, but simultaneously pointed out that things "didn't go perfectly" on our end either. To us, this came across as, "Yes, we made XYZ mistakes, but you're no better." These errors (listing them all would be too lengthy here) are sometimes so serious that, for example, the name of a managing director was consistently misspelled (despite repeated requests). Even after a second request to correct this and conduct proper quality control, the corrections were not implemented. The changes were only ever made on the pages we submitted, despite our request to correct them everywhere. All things considered, based on our experience, we cannot recommend this agency."
