"This post office has THE WORST SERVICE! There is not a day nor hour that I go when the line isn’t long and there is 1 person at window. Yesterday I went and we were standing in line and NO ONE was at window. I guess he/she went in back and was there for over 5 minutes. I walked in post office at 9:58am to purchase stamps arrived at window to get assistance at 10:13am. And that was the case only because another postal worker came to open another window. Smh I have decided that I am NEVER going back to the post office in Madison, MS. I prefer to drive to Canton or Ridgeland. You get MUCH BETTER service at these locations and the lines are rarely out of the door and the wait is much shorter. And if the line starts to get long they will at least send another worker to help out. In Madison you can be in line 20-30 minutes and the worker rarely gets assistance. With all the prices going up each year, you would think the CS would be better. A book of stamps cost $14.60. The prices have increased nearly 20% each year BUT customer service has DECLINED. You want to know the main reason why the prices are increasing; to pay medical bills for those who have retired and their pensions. We are being penalized because the postal service doesn’t know how to budget their money. My uncle has worked for postal service since he earned his masters (over 30 years). He is 1 on the 15 employees who regulate postage fees and budget. That’s how I know what is really going on. It’s now a private company that gets no government funding so the citizens must pay the cost!!! This is INSANITY!! So why is it called the USPS??? We are slowly hitting rock bottom in this country. Everything is being ran in the ground. Mail was delivered faster with the pony express!!!"
"I see I’m not the only one with complaints against this office. The post master here is a joke. Sometimes it’s highly questionable how people get the positions they get. My package was to be delivered four days ago. It means more than money and people begged me not to use this to send it, but my family and I had no other option at the time. The post master cannot answer simple questions then if you show any amount of frustration about missing a family heirloom he will hang up on you. That’s ok. I live in driving distance."
"Had a package to be delivered all for them to send it back to the main hub because it’s wasn’t scheduled to be delivered today 😂 I’m guessing it would of hurted you guys to deliver a package early when it’s already in your facility"
"As far as post offices go, this is one of the better ones. The staff is friendly and helpful. Service is slow, but that’s really only because There is only 2-3 people running the counter at any given time (this isn’t uncommon among usps offices)."
