Featured Client Reviews
"I really wish I could give a negative review. This company has been charging me every month for more than a year on a trial subscription my minor child set up. I have emailed several times. I have tried calling several times. Left several voicemails for different departments throughout the company. Most times when you call you can't even get to a voicemail. I can't cancel the subscription. Such a fraud. About ready to cancel my bank account and PayPal."
"I’m surprised they have a two star rating. They deserve zero stars. One star is being generous. They’ve never heard of a customer service department. Tried for months to fix a digital subscription problem. Never heard from anyone and finally gave up. The newspapers they run are skeletons of what they used to be. Run by a corporation who doesn’t care."
"If i could give zero stars i would. They have refused and prevented me from cancelling a subscription. i called customer service and waited 1.5 hours only to have the woman argue with me and lie about cancelling my subscription. Emails are ignored. And their subsidiary website although they claim cancel anytime is always conveniently not working."
"I am so disappointed in both the incompetence of this corporation generally (horrible news websites, horrible billing problems, horrible customer service), and the utter lack of responsibility they take in stewarding journalism and local news. Their hard-working reporters deserve better treatment and our communities deserve so much more from these callous corporate executives that seem to be squeezing the last few nickels from a once noble business while driving it into bankruptcy. Such a profound lack of character and integrity."
"My brother recently paid $435.70 for an obituary, for his late wife, to be published in the Auburn, NY Citizen. After calling to find out why it was not published, he was told they accidentally put it in the wrong paper. No refund was offered and he was told if he wanted it to be published correctly he would have to pay the $435.70 again! This is beyond belief. First it was an outrageous amount and then to admit the error but do nothing to make it right. It's no wonder newspapers are quickly becoming irrelevant."
