"I would urge anyone considering working with Media Lounge to look elsewhere. Signing with these grifters could be very costly, it almost financially ruined us. Big lesson here, and this part is out fault, always read the small print and don’t sign their standard development contract it does not specify a development timeframe or give you any protection as a customer. Media Lounge will use this as an excuse to completely rip you off. We trusted Media Lounge with our entire design / tech budget that we had been carefully budgeting for over the last few years. They were paid over £50k for a magento 2 website (over 90% of the entire cost) for a website that was still only partially finished over 2 years later. Once 90% of the budget was extracted from us within a year, this is our fault for trusting their terms and conditions. Then they basically stopped delivering anything meaningful for next 14 months. During this timer we did have regular project management calls all the right noises claiming they are working on our project, it will be delivered, but they had a developer shortage etc. Ther truth was they had no intention of completing our website and had no real incentive once they had received 90% of the money. We eventually had to pay to have the website finished from a much more reliable agency. This meant the project actually cost 50% more than we budgeted for as Media Lounge refused any refund and handed over a shockingly poor level of code. Its obvious from the reviews here that they will treat bigger companies with respect, but any smaller company who wants results please look anywhere else. Media Lounge will choose the route of blaming the customer throughout, as I am sure they will in any reply here. Are they the most expensive: yes Will they tie you up in contracts giving you no protection: yes Are they reliable: no Can they be trusted: no Do they use outsourced development: 100% yes Who should you use instead: anyone else, honestly these guys will extract all your money and if they deliver any code it will be of very poor quality. Update 11/04/24 - In response to reply from Media Lounge. This reply is the typical smoke and mirrors nonsense you will constantly receive if you are unfortunate enough to work with them. We didn’t speak at length privately at all. We outlined what had gone wrong with the project and clearly showed that we had been billed for 90% of the project when it was less than 40% complete (after over 2 years). Media Lounge simply refused to provide any form of refund or a date for completion. In regards to us being unprofessional this is classic blame the customer that is the Media Lounge default response. Media Lounge complained about our review to Trust Pilot. However, the review was re-instated after we provided the required documentation. Despite the bleating from Media Lounge the fact the review was re-instated says in all. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!"
