"We have lived at The Modern for almost two years and I cannot say enough positive things about our experience. From the day we moved in we were welcomed by the team that made us feel like a part of The Modern community. Their attention to detail and commitment to exceptional service truly sets them apart. Maintenance is very quick to respond to any questions or issues, and they maintain the building to be spotlessly clean at all times. The amenities are top-notch, with a well-equipped fitness center with available fitness classes taught by an amazing instructor. The Conservatory Bar offers some of the best views in Seattle and the Team hosts frequent events and a great bar. The views from the apartment are absolutely breathtaking – we enjoy waking up to the the Space Needle and Puget Sound every morning. Location-wise, The Modern Apartments is great. Steps from Pike Place Market, and an easy walk to Climate Pledge, T-Mobile, Lumen, South Lake Union and limitless dining options. Additionally, , we feel incredibly safe. The building is secure, and the staff is always on-site to assist, and the Experience Team is always friendly and very helpful. There were some flooding/water issues soon after we moved in, however, we were impressed with managements efforts to remediate as quickly as possible and they did everything we could expect to minimize disruption. With unmatched service, incredible amenities, stunning views, a prime location, and a strong sense of safety, I give The Modern a 5-star rating."

On top of that, every staff member I interacted with was genuinely friendly and welcoming. You can tell they take pride in creating a great experience for both residents and their guests. "I would love to leave a review for the Modern as it is beyond "five stars" in our opinion and has been such a wonderful place to live. When we first began searching for our place to live, we had a few places in mind but after we saw the units, we were quickly discouraged. We wanted to take this time to live in a location that was rewarding and uplifting. We toured for a few weekends, visiting all the downtown new high rise buildings that had availability. Once we arrived at "The Modern", we knew hands down it was the perfect place to live. The hospitality of the staff by far exceeds the competition and completing the new residence tour gave us a personal touch to the residence and our choice for the perfect unit. Now as a long term residence of 3 years, we have benefited by meeting so many of the residents, beginning and learning a fitness routine and enjoying the remarkable restaurants of downtown. It has been reassuring knowing that we are secure with secured underground parking and so much assistance with package deliveries, dry cleaning and just about anything you can imagine. Downtown Seattle is very walkable as most days we walk to work. Love being so close to Pike Place Market, the Art Galleries and Theatres. Four of our all~time favorite restaurants are within four blocks away. If you haven't been on tour at The Modern, please do so. The 35th floor of The Modern is the perfect place for residents to entertain! The views are absolutely fabulous and many weekends feature brunch and parties by the staff. We held our Thanksgiving dinner there and look forward to doing this again. I would give The Modern "100 stars" if I could!!! Thank you to the hospitality team of the The Modern. You are remarkable, professional and we so appreciate this wonderful place to live & location to enjoy the downtown Seattle life."
"The Modern is NOT luxury - they really don’t know what they’re doing. In less than a year living here, we’ve already had multiple safety issues and relocation needs that were never properly addressed by management. During a very serious incident with safety risks, the building didn’t update residents or make sure anyone knew what was going on. There wasn’t even a follow-up until residents reached out themselves. Keeping residents informed about their safety should be basic. Amenities are a joke: No fully working gym, sauna closed for months, repeated flooding, AC that sounds like a drill in my unit, I cannot keep it on and sleep at night. Common spaces have endless restrictions and basically operate as a bar a couple of days during the week. So if you do not carry your ID most probably will be walked away. The only people that do their job is housekeeping, props to them. Management? Indifferent. Issues get ignored. Once you sign the contract it is over. I don’t feel safe living here, and that was my top priority before moving in. On top of that, I have many other concerns. If safety and actually being able to sleep matter to you, look elsewhere."
