"Absolutely appalling system. Not user friendly. Difficult to find a contact number for system support. When you finally find someone to talk to, after 2hrs you are told that they cannot help, you should "ask an accountant"????. I am, but they don't even comprehend the context of their instruction. As a qualified accountant, it has security flaws, allows inappropriate actions (ie, even allows you to delete a transaction!! Not reverse as per basic accounting protocol). If you need details of payments, invoices or customers, don't expect anything. It does not provide details of the date, time or person who posted the transaction - even after asking MYOB for assistance - they couldn't help. I recommend a spreadsheet. It would be more helpful. And I can confirm with what others have said that after instructing MYOB to email invoices, they aren't emailed. Absolutely embarrassing for a business. Even more embarrassing to admit using MYOB"
"I joined with myob as i go on my app and try to email a quote the app freezes with a "something went wrong" msg logging me out completely, I have spent countless hours on the phone to support only getting generic appolagies and "our technitions are working to resolve the issue" which is another generic msg. I have gone through that much stress i just cant sit on the phone for hours anymore, PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP WITH MYOB!!!"
"Poor Service and Misleading Promotion, Unprofessional !!! Super dissatisfaction with the service I have received from MYOB. My recent experience has been extremely disappointing and far below the standard I expected. I was contacted by two different customer service representatives, one from the sales team and another from an unidentified team. Unfortunately, neither provided genuine support. Instead of resolving my issue, they repeatedly sent generic or automated responses, including promotional material, while giving the impression that they were addressing my concerns. In reality, they were not. It is clear that customer care was not their priority. MYOB has been advertising on social media a promotional offer of 80% off for one year. However, after I attempted to sign up using the promotional link as a brand-new customer coming from Xero, I was told I was “not eligible” and that the offer applies only to new customers. This is contradictory, as I have never used MYOB before and created a new account directly through the advertised link. Instead of honouring the advertised offer, I was only offered three months at 50% off, which is completely unacceptable and misleading."
"Progressively worse and worse. At the start had few issues, being asked to log in even after 2FA and signing in, then the emails not sending via invoices, then the random errors or software being down. Now it's just slow and clunky, I asked for a discount but got given the works and no issues being sorted, but being charged full price for the software. I'm thinking of swapping to Xero if this keeps happening."
"This accounting software feels outdated and complicated. The interface looks like software from the early 2000s and is not intuitive to use. Support and documentation are limited, and I could not find helpful information even after searching online. I also faced functional issues: for example, sales did not appear in the profit and loss statement even when I linked them to the correct categories. I wasted few days because of these problems, I would not recommend MYOB to beginners who need a simple and reliable accounting app."
