"Love this place... we boat over to Dogwood Island I think it is called.(not really a year round island) we usually beach up inflate the island and chill. Took the kids tubing and being the state of Oregon at this moment of course they found a darn shopping cart to play with. Dear Lord!"
"I parked on Holmes and Buck where it’s a residential area. After parking I walked with my baby (in a carrier) down a semi-steep staircase to the river across the Meldrum bar park. I want to say it’s about half a mile. It was a great short hike where I was lucky enough to see some sea lions swimming."
"We love this place! For free. A beautiful huge park. So much room to keep your distance to all people. During the week even pretty empty."
"There's a well maintained trail from Maddox Woods over to this park along the Willamette river where you can enjoy river access by foot. There's some pretty good ups and downs, so I don't recommend it for anyone who'd have trouble navigating some of the steeper sections. In winter the river rises and there's not always a beach area to get down to, but it's still nice to walk the trail and enjoy the views. The photo is from January when the cottonwoods have lost their leaves for the winter."
"Fee park nice boat launch lots of fields to BBQ and relax in. Can drive right down to water and enjoy the sunshine!! RC track is awesome always someone ripping around jumping their toy. Close to main drag so can get snacks and beverages close by. Crowded on weekends but mellow during the week. Can access river and go all the way downtown and farther if you want to on the water"
