"Buying a home from Qualico / Pacesetter was a huge mistake. During my home orientation (#31434) in November, I pointed out that the entire exterior was filthy. A company rep, Patrick Buhat, told me it was too cold to clean it and promised it would be done in the spring. Spring came — nothing happened. When I followed up, they denied everything and told me it wasn’t their problem. This was a clear lie and a bait-and-switch tactic to get me to accept the home in unacceptable condition. This is not my first home — I’ve bought from Landmark before and was treated with professionalism and honesty. Qualico? Completely the opposite. Deceptive, dismissive, and unaccountable. Avoid this builder at all costs. If this is how they treat homeowners right after possession, imagine how they’ll treat you years down the line. I regret ever trusting them."
"Marquis is a nice area with some potential, but the lot layouts are disappointing for the price point. The zero lot lines make the homes feel crammed together — you’re essentially paying townhouse proximity at detached home prices. For anyone spending $700K–$800K or more, there should really be at least a few proper estate-sized lots available. Space and breathing room shouldn’t be considered a luxury at that range.. but no gotta squeeze every dollar ."
"Bought a home in fort Mcmurray. The sale was good. great service when trying to sell you a home but once it comes to warranty its a different story. Had a bent door that they looked at in dec of last year. still waiting on the replacement. Due for my one year warranty work and they send an email to contact someone who has a phone numbner disconnected and not a single reply from any email. Been trying for over a month now to get this dealt with. When I call head office I get told i will get a call back but never happens. Just very disappointed in the service provided by this company"
"Qualico, who owns Pacesetter which is our home builder, is responsible for our recent experience. We moved into our home the beginning of April, and have had too many problems to list. At first they were committed to fixing all of our problems, but now we have been left to harass Pacesetter to get any progress. Do yourself a favour, avoid any Qualico home builders if you want a positive experience. Meanwhile, we will keep pushing to get our issues resolved. On a side note, I am leaving a picture of the roof I just noticed with screws, nails, and staples. This is the condition of the home that they feel comfortable leaving new homeowners with."
"Terrible at managing the construction in their neighborhoods. They let garbage run amok and the whole new neighborhood you paid so much to buy a poorly crafted home to move into is full of trash… and they do nothing to clean it up. It’s pathetic really, and disgraceful. If you love cleaning up garbage literally every day, buy in a Qualico community. They’re chocked full of trash (and I’m not just talking about the quality of who’s building there)"
