"The Llaves regalo were given to us for a specific amount from some friends as a wedding gift, very generous and at first glance Rusticae seemed to have a great selection of boutique hotels. After speaking with customer service and checking the value of our gift card or keys, we were told we needed to pay a commission to use the gift card. This and that the payment was made in Euros (which it wasn’t we live in Chile and our friends paid in CLP) and for that reason a specific executive had to do the booking for us - ok fine, but they could never explain why we needed to pay a commission. Getting an answer about anything took about 48-72 hours from checking availability of hotels and they couldn’t simply provide us with a breakdown of prices for the places we chose so it was a constant battle of email tag. They were available to call 2 hours during the whole day. In the end we didn’t see the benefit of booking with them. Short story long, we ended up asking for a refund and use the money to book directly with one of the places they work with. Oddly they were enthusiastic to provide the refund but proceeded to scold us for not being their type of client. Not a pleasant experience. Avoid, avoid and avoid."

"I think it's a complete scam. They gave us a gift key worth a lot of money, and the first time, according to them, we were only allowed a studio suite (the most expensive one), but the hotel put us in a regular room (according to the hotel, that's how the reservation came in). We complained (thankfully, I had everything in writing) and after many emails, they refunded us 24 euros (a joke). Now I'm trying to rebook to cancel the remaining balance, and I've sent more than 20 emails to get the exact terms and conditions... now I think I understand why they prefer phone calls... I get the feeling they're trying to deceive people. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL, and the service is terrible. I'm amazed it has a 3.3 rating and not a 0. Congratulations on those 28 years, although my experience with you hasn't been anything but! But that's how businesses are; that's supply and demand. Everyone has their own tastes and opinions, and mine is not to recommend them! Goodbye and farewell!"
"I'm giving it one star because I can't give it less. They offered my wife and me a free night with breakfast. Every time we've tried to book, either the accommodation we selected is no longer available, or you have to book a minimum of two nights, or there's an extra charge. It's the biggest scam in the world. I'm very disappointed with this company and will never book anything with them again. I encourage others not to either, because it's nothing but problems."
