"Awful experience after years of loyalty. I sold a concert ticket and selected a set price TicketSwap proposed. Then I received an unpleasant email saying the ticket can only be sold for a 20% markup, and they’re taking even more money from my payout—on top of the €30 they already deducted. They claim the seller is responsible, but with all the checks they should be doing, the seller shouldn’t have to think about or calculate the 20% cap plus the €30 deduction. In the end, you don’t make any profit at all."
"I've sold my valid tickets, they kept the money and stopped reacting via the online chat. I have contacted them via WhatsApp and they told me I need to wait 14 days in total so that they remind their aftersales colleagues. Such a shame! Be aware of this and I recommend not using this service at all!"
"Good at taking your money, but when you need a resolution from them they disappear and keep the service fees. Impossible to get a refund for an event cancelled - all they do is open a chat with the seller and pray for the best."
"Worst experience I ever had!!!! Do not use it! If I could give minus stars I would. I wanted to sell a ticket for a play and they put a wrong time in the ad automatically and I couldnt change it! I tried to change it and I wrote the correct time in the comments. Someone bought it and I contacted the customer support because I couldnt communicate with the buyer (which makes things soo complicated) and they said they would contact them. Turns out the buyer didn‘t know and couldn‘t attend the play because they thought it was in the evening but it was a matinee. Now they are mad (I would be too!!) because they also came to see it from another country!!!!! And I won‘t get the money of course and ticketswap wants me to refund them????? I am so so disappointed and mad!!!! And so sorry for the Person who couldn‘t attend!!! I wish I would have just selled it in front of the theatre that would have been so much easier. Worst decision ever to put my trust in them!!!"
"Terrible app. My first, and will now be only, time using this app a couple of months ago to purchase a couple of festival tickets; I purchase tickets listed and sold as ‘Friday Tickets’, only to then download them after purchase and have them be ‘Sunday Tickets’. Combined, the tickets cost me £160+, so not a small amount, so of course I instantly reach out to TicketSwap and the seller to try and resolve the issue in the hope it was an honest mistake somewhere down the line and to get a refund so I could purchase new tickets. More fool me for thinking that and that it could be as simple and quick a process as it should be considering the app declares itself to be safe and to have all the checks in place to stop scams/fake tickets/listings. The process is SO unbelievably drawn out and slow. First they try and ‘mediate’ a conversation between you and the seller; great, if the seller is legit and honest, not so great if they’re not. The seller read the initial message but as soon as I asked for a refund due to them selling the incorrect tickets, they stopped reading the messages. Surprise surprise. The problem then being that TicketSwap won’t do anything until a certain amount of time has passed, something like a week. So you’re left out of pocket and not knowing whether you’ll get your money back. After that week you’d hope they would escalate things if nothing had improved…wrong. All they do is say they’ll try contacting the seller. This seller that is blatantly avoiding messages and scamming people out of money. This goes on and on with no resolution whatsoever, all whilst you’re left out of pocket and without legit tickets. This went on for a month. I eventually went to my bank to cancel the payment and they couldn’t believe the app was being so terrible about the situation and instantly did a review and got my money sent back to me. Conveniently a day or two after this, TicketSwap finally respond, but only to tell me not to go to my bank as it messes up their process (not sure what it can mess up when they’re doing nothing to begin with) and that they will now tell the seller they must refund the money, again, relying solely on the seller being honest and decent, literally leaving a message with a link for the seller to process a refund. They then close the conversation/report, leaving it completely unresolved and with no way of chasing it up. If I hadn’t gone to my bank, I wouldn’t have got my money back and I’d have been left £160+ out of pocket. DO NOT USE TICKETSWAP."
