"I'm a wedding photographer myself, but attended a wedding at this venue this past weekend for their very first wedding on the property as a family member! I'm from eastern NC, so I was excited to enjoy a wedding in the mountains as a guest. This venue has thought of absolutely everything to make your day a dream come true! We stayed in one of the family cabins on site and I especially loved the hot tub and porch views! It's all well thought out and impressive. I LOVED the ceremony on the patio - it was breathtaking. I truly couldn't imagine how it could get any better than it already was! 10/10 would recommend them for your special day!"

I met Dillion Murphy, the founder and a wedding videographer by trade, when the venue was still just dirt, surrounded by the breathtaking backdrop of the Great Smoky Mountains. From August 2025 to February 2026, my wedding planner and I worked tirelessly together, combining her creative talents with my thoughts and dreams to create the most beautiful weekend of my life. Most of my vendors came from Trailhead's Preferred Vendor list. With Dillion being in the wedding industry for a long time, he was able to curate a magical list of vendors who provide top-notch service and experiences. The architecture and craftsmanship of this venue are worthy of praise around the world. To have a luxury wedding venue that doesn’t give off cabin vibes while still being in the mountains—allowing for the cabin atmosphere to be felt but not seen—is something only a handful of people can create. God had a huge hand in making it, and you can tell as you look at it and listen to Dillion talk about it. This message is getting long, and I could go on forever. As someone who can’t help but leave the most honest review: I spent a lot of money. But had Dillion, Grace, or anyone on the Trailhead team told me the price of the venue was doubling or something crazy, I would have paid it. As we grow into a world where the wedding industry is expensive and everyone around you tells you to go a different route, im here to tell you to look at Trailhead, tour the venue, meet the staff before you make a huge decision like not having a wedding. You might just have your world turned upside down in the best way."
