"I received a project request for approximately 7,000 words. The two project managers who contacted me were Jan Guerrini and Gary Minlschmidt. I had never heard of them before. Since it was a large project, I wanted to know more about it. The price was low, but I was promised higher prices for future jobs. Both email addresses were Gmail addresses and there were no signatures. The PO had provided an incorrect address. I was also asked to sign the PO. I have been a translator for a long time and have never had to do anything like this before. This company is simply a scam."
"This company is a fraud at best. Twice now, someone from Transperfect has hacked into, used, and registered for app services under my email address and then received assignments at said email address. When I call to confirm the validity of the requested assignment, the male who answers the phone COULDNT CARE LESS so I asked to be transferred to someone who DOES care. I ended up with HR, who of course! Has no idea! When I offered to give my email address for them to cross reference, it was as if I was talking to second graders. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! They will steal your information and use it. Can’t wait until tax season! Lawsuit incoming"
"I have accessibility issues, and was thrown around flatiron district with not much help for a half hour. One of the employees was smirking, and rudely texting the whole time, when I was supposed to be assisted with the questions. They dismissed me 2/3 into the study, and wasted my time and didn’t compensate me."
"They offered me online work. I have done it perfectly and they loved my work. When I asked for my payment they blocked my account. Two names about whom I know are Gideon Williams and Nelson bright. They are all scammers. Don't ever trust on this company."
"Unfortunately, they do not care about their vendors when problems arise. I'm a translator, I have a contractual relationship with them, I completed the job, no concern was raised, submitted my invoice and few weeks after invoice due date asked about my payment. Only then the PM said that client has not paid yet. It would had been nice if PM told me this up front - just feels better and shows that PM cares -, also, a company of this size should have enough funds to pay vendors even when the client is not paying. Unfortunately, PM has not reacted to my follow-up questions."
