"This is my second winter with the Vulcano StarGold Maxi 3 fireplace stove. I expected superior quality. Anyone with an older Vulcano would be better off not replacing it with a newer one. - Firebricks all broken (I'm quite careful when loading firewood) - Paint peeling off around the opening - Rust stains on the lower part of the door - Smoke billows as soon as the door is opened, both from the top sides and from below. I want to point out that I completely cleaned the fireplace stove and flue; it is made of double-layer insulation, and the only bend it makes is to exit the room wall and then straight up to the roof. I lit it from above as recommended, used dry wood (kept indoors), etc. Disappointing to say the least; I should have chosen another brand."
"In July of this year, I purchased a fifth-generation Vulcano fireplace, the Medi 1 model. With the arrival of the cold weather and the first time I actually used it, serious operational problems immediately emerged. I should point out that my heating system, powered by a gas boiler, was working perfectly and had never given me any problems; the problems only began when I connected the system to the Vulcano fireplace. I would also like to emphasize that this is the third Vulcano fireplace I've purchased in 30 years. In the past, I considered the company a benchmark, synonymous with professionalism and reliability. Today, however, I have to note a dramatic deterioration in every aspect. I remember well that twenty years ago, for a simple smoke problem, the owner showed up in person to check the system, but those were different times, different entrepreneurs, different sensitivities. Before writing this review, I made sure to have all the necessary checks done. I consulted several plumbers specializing in fireplace installations, and they all confirmed that the problem clearly lies with the VULCANO fireplace. I then contacted VULCANO several times, only to find myself speaking to the same technician. His attitude was not only unprofessional, but often irritating and improvised. After wasting my time with at least five completely ineffective attempts to resolve the problem and without even carrying out an on-site inspection, he finally decided to attribute the problem to a supposed failure of the internal exchanger, claiming that the installer had "overtightened" the fitting, damaging the part. This was a rash, unfounded diagnosis based solely on a forced reading of the manual and what I had explained to him over the phone, without considering the fact that my installer was guided step by step by their local dealer. When I dared to point out the absurdity of this assessment, the technician reacted in a defensive, arrogant, and downright rude tone. I find it unacceptable that a company that calls itself an industry leader and customer-focused would entrust its after-sales service to personnel incapable of even providing basic support. This attitude suggests that the goal isn't to solve customers' problems, but to randomly shift responsibilities, without even realizing that on the other end of the line are families who have invested thousands of euros, often with sacrifice, trusting the VULCANO brand. Today, after spending approximately €10,000 on a fireplace, accessories, and installation, I find myself with an unusable system and a company that not only refuses, but is perhaps even technically incapable of sending a manager or qualified technician to inspect the product before randomly assigning blame. At this point, having received no concrete solution, I will proceed with a sworn technical assessment to formally ascertain responsibility and file an official complaint, also involving the legal department of Altroconsumo, which I have already contacted, which has been protecting consumers against unfair practices and a complete lack of assistance for years. WARNING: Buying from VULCANO today means risking being left to fend for yourself, without any technical support. They sell throughout Italy but lack the ability or willingness to establish local service centers, leaving customers at the mercy of problems once they've received their money. After an investment of this size, this is simply unacceptable. A truly TERRIBLE experience! Stay away from VULCANO and opt for companies with local technicians and technical assistance. ANSWER: You clearly don't know how to read: The system was pre-existing, and with the diesel boiler, it always worked perfectly, as I clearly stated. The phrase "he didn't buy it from us" is surreal, if not ridiculous. It's as if Mercedes didn't recognize the warranty on a car because it was purchased from the dealer... Congratulations!!!"
"I've had a Vulcano Stargold for three years. It's a phenomenal fireplace. I have Vulcano to thank for it. I use it to heat and even provide hot water for a villa of about 300 square meters. My brother bought the Vulcano 5-star in early 2025 and is very happy with it. I highly recommend it. It's a top-rated company, and the staff is friendly, helpful, and very professional."
