"Unfortunately, I can't agree with the praise here – creating a simple blog website was a complete disaster. The original schedule of two months turned into over eight months, which were unnecessarily interrupted three times by vacation breaks. I felt compelled to send dozens of emails to point out obvious errors in design (colors, spacing, inconsistencies, etc.) and functionality (e.g., a faulty search function). This regularly resulted in endless loops of corrections. Internal testing, which would have been the responsibility of a "full-service agency," demonstrably never took place. The design was not responsive in any way, and the mobile view was regularly completely distorted. After a few design errors were fixed, the site was turned upside down again without consultation, with previous inconsistencies and spacing errors shamelessly repeated and sent to me. Finally, it became apparent that the installation was being accessed frequently from South Asia. My inquiry about whether the site was being built in India was not denied by the boss and deputy, thus confirming my assumption. This, of course, explained the extremely sloppy work, but not the German pricing and the outsourcing without the client's consent. Conclusion: Anyone willing to spend €10,000 on a very simple, run-of-the-mill website is in good hands with this agency. Those expecting contemporary work and responsive design, unfortunately, are not. Some mobile display errors have not even been resolved to date (incorrectly centered header image display, no article titles displayed in mobile searches, thumbnails in searches with irregular sizes, link underscores extending into the line below,... and more). My tip: If too many irregularities arise, simply withdraw and reverse the contract to avoid wasting time and hire another agency. Since I unfortunately missed that, a court will now decide to what extent fraudulent deception and grossly unacceptable work were offered here, and how the testing imposed on the customer is to be billed."
