"This is the first time that I am writing a review I been using this company for a while to start it was ok but nothing amazing they make promises about getting client but for me it did not happen I was contacted by a lady who look after my account call Jaz and she told me the reason I was not doing as well as I should was because my website was dated bearing in mind that they created my website and that I need to be seen more so after a long chat I agreed to do what she advised to get more client and I got absolutely nothing I am not even covering my cost with yell and when I confronted them about it they told that getting 13 email inquiries a year was very good those people sale you the world but come up with good extremely disappointed has now I have to stick with a big bill a month for a year they rude unhelpful and mess up make promises they cannot keep you paying them to provide Custumer’s and you get nothing and when confronted they basically don’t care they have got there yearly contract and is nothing you can do about it then pay and not getting nothing in return will be cancelling everything once contract is ending an absolute joke"
"I wish I had read the Google reviews before signing a contract with Yell. That says it all. This company is completely dishonest. They promised me unlimited customers and I didn’t even get a single one. I really wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. Just read the reviews— they reveal the truth. Over the phone, they give you all these big hopes, and once you’ve signed the contract, that’s it— not a single customer for even a pound."
"Very poor experience and unprofessional conduct, even 1 star is too much for the bad experience i had . After cancelling the service and being told on a recorded call that the contract was concluded, I continued to receive repeated calls, emails and aggressive payment demands, including on Christmas Day. The lack of clear communication, respect and proper handling of disputes made this a very stressful experience. I would not recommend working with a company that treats clients this way."
"I bought a company that have been using Yell for their marketing. Here's what I found: Yell had been billing this company for "SEO services" and had done absolutely nothing to earn this money, other than sending reports showing the (lack of) ranking. Yell had been billing this company for PPC advertising. Part of the charge covered management fee, part covered ad spend. The ad spend portion had not been fully spent, and Yell had failed to let their client know, pocketing the difference for many months. Of the ad budget that HAD been spent, the majority of cost (and conversions) had been wasted bidding on the company's own brand name. They have no competitors bidding on their brand name, so they would get these clicks anyway. We turned the ads off and saw ZERO drop off in conversions. We refused to pay their final bill until they provided adequate evidence to back up their charges. They threatened legal action. This business is the worst. They prey on the lack of understanding of their clients to rip them off."
"I signed up with Yell after being told by the sales rep that their advertising would bring in a large increase in bookings and potentially generate up to around £700 a day in revenue. This was the main reason I agreed to the contract. However, the results have been nowhere near what was discussed, and the level of return promised was not realistic for my business or location. When I raised concerns and asked to cancel, I was told I couldn’t, despite the expectations clearly being a major part of why I signed. I’m now having to go through a formal complaints process and request the call recording because the verbal claims made at sign-up don’t match the outcome. I’m disappointed with the lack of transparency and would encourage others to get everything in writing and be very cautious of verbal assurances."
