"They develop and provide a points-earning app called Torima, which allows you to earn points by completing missions and accumulating steps. However, even when you complete missions, you don't get the points normally; it's a strange system where you have to contact them multiple times to get points. The support center only tells you what to do in the manual, and even when you contact them they never get back to you, so you contact them multiple times and I think they're treating you like a complainer! And the higher the points, the lower the reward rate. I completed a mission worth 1.2 million points, but I wasn't given any points for the unreasonable reason that there was no installation history. Is this due to the company's own employee training?"
"The company operates Torimata and other services (though not its main focus), and has recently made numerous changes and not awarded points, leading to numerous posts on social media. Geotechnologies has many issues, but it seems they've made a mistake in selecting the companies they use as advertising media (although many other companies use the same advertising media companies). When I pointed out a problem, they started supporting the companies they use as advertising media. It feels like they're a low-level subcontractor with little influence over the companies above them. I suspect they have many employees who are unable to communicate in a healthy way. I think they're a company that doesn't understand who their true stakeholders are and doesn't care about their users."
"The deadline for CyberNavi's free map updates has passed, but I received an email that made it seem like I could update for free (only the SD card version said it was paid), and I couldn't figure it out by trying various operations. I finally got through to support, which was completely in the dark, but it turned out to be a paid service. If they had made the price clear from the beginning, I wouldn't have wasted so much time. "They're taking their users for granted. Their tactics are incredibly sloppy: ToriMa ads use tiny x marks to tempt users into accidentally tapping on them, white x marks on a white background or dummy x marks to prevent users from closing the ad, or even forcibly redirect users to a browser download page. They've also been ignoring bugs. Why don't they just show ads? The ads have frozen multiple times, and I haven't received the miles I should have. Is this a scam? When I inquired, they only got inconsistent responses, saying it wasn't their fault and that it was all the advertiser's fault. Recently, they announced a 20% commission increase after the fact, without any prior notice. It's the worst. Do you read app reviews? I bet you don't. Lots of people are angry. What's with this company?"
"On January 20, 2022, the company name changed to Geotechnologies, Inc. PS: Google Maps is commonly used these days, but in the past, MapFan was the standard. At work, the printed information about locations was written with MapFan written on it. It should have been familiar to anyone who has used the internet for over 20 years. Back in the day, maps didn't move smoothly like they do now, and the entire page had to be reloaded every time you moved something. So, the image of the company has always been that of a MapFan company."
