"What can i say, its my beautiful home. A wonderful place in downtown san jose with all amenities, friendly staff. We conduct festivals and events in our community hall. We have a good pool and a great spa. The barbeque place is wonderful. It has great views. Very much accessible to the public transportation, vta trains and busses. The parking is spacious but expensive though. Iam glad i have spent 2 years in this lovely place."

"Moved to the building with my wife in January and we are super happy with our decision! It was our first rental in the US so we had lots of questions which the front of house team responded to efficiently. Maintenance made sure the apartment was spotless before we moved in. The facilities are great, never too busy and always clean. Neighbours really friendly and we have already made friends here. Our favourite part which absolutely needs to be mentioned- the events!! They happen on a monthly basis and today we had a brunch party with breakfast and mimosas- a great way to get the community together and socialise. We would definitely recommend living here and say thank you to Miguel, Liz, Vincent,Carlos & Nacho for making everytjing happen and come together :)"

"It's been absolutely great living at The James. The leasing and the maintenance people have been wonderful. Just had William come by for a work order and he was extremely polite, knowledgeable, and respectful of our space. I'm pleasantly surprised so far and hope the same is true for the future!"

"This is the first apartment I lived in after moving to the Bay Area. I’ve stayed here for 3 years (2years in a studio + 1year in a 1b1b) and it was an absolute pleasure. The rent is reasonable compared to some of the other new buildings in the area and the new management has also made the annual rent increases minimal. Despite its location right across the St James Park with lots of homeless people outside, I’ve never had any issue inside the building with lurkers or break ins (you can’t say the same for some of the other seemingly more “fancy” buildings like One South right across the street). The community is gated with a security guard on site and I’ve always felt safe living at the James. Mailrooms are also secure and I’ve never had packages stolen (and I order a lot of stuff!). The apartment themselves are brand new with modern appliances, high quality wood, flooring etc. Floor plans are spacious with lots of storage space and walk in closets, even in studio units. Every maintenance request I’ve submitted during my time here was taken care of within 24-48hours. Plenty of guest parking which is super nice given you’re right at the heart of downtown San Jose! The building is also pet friendly and is good with communicating about fire alarm testing via email well in advance, which was important for me as a cat owner. The new management (shoutout to Miguel for always being super helpful and friendly) has really made the James feel more like a community. They throw holiday/seasonal parties where you can meet other people who also live in the building with great food, music and vibes! They make sure common areas are always clean and well maintained. Phone/email responses are prompt which is a relief during emergency situations (you can expect a response the same day). I’ve lost my keys once during the weekend and I called the office minutes before it was about to close and Vincent made sure to make a new pair of keys for me before closing. Needless to say, I’ve been really impressed with the new management and the level of care for their residents. The only downside I’d say is the building location being in downtown San Jose and the cleanliness outside. However, it’s nothing out of the ordinary if you’ve lived in a big city downtown before. Overall, I’d highly recommend living here!"

"Unfortunately for us, we just moved out due to needing to relocate to be closer to work. That being said, we absolutely loved living here. We lived in downtown SF for 2 years before, so being here was a complete dream. Yes, there are some homeless around, but that it typical for any downtown area. However, this area has a nice balance of being fairly quiet even though you are a block of Santa Clara where there is lots to do. The management team go above and beyond to make residents feel welcome and to foster a clean and well maintained property. We will dearly miss our old apartment as well as the management team; Miguel, Vincent and Liz."
