"I have never been to the recording of a TV show, but I had the opportunity to join a friend and go to the Maidstone Studios. I am very glad that I did - the experience was memorable, I cannot reveal the full details and we were treated to tea an coffee. The queues for the tea and coffee were quite lengthy and you would not want to sit on the seats for more than 2 recordings, nevertheless it was an enjoyable fun experience.."
"Such an amazing studio with very professional friendly staff. We filmed here a short film and I was in the makeup department. The makeup room is very spacious, with light up mirrors and kept clean. Fitted with proper barber chairs. Also has an auxiliary room with coverts and wash hair basins and chairs. Actors had each their own dressing rooms given. Two launge areas. Production office. Overall the best studios I ever worked in since I'm in the film industry. Beats Pinewood by far not in size but in quality and service. Also has an American dinner where your production can have breakfast lunch or dinners and the studio will help you with catering. What can you actually wish for more...they have everything is needed."
"Easy to get to but only blue badge parking on site. The parking is in a hotel 15 minutes walk away. Seating is very close, no leg room. If you have long legs you really need to try to sit at the front. If you are in a double recording be aware that it is only 30 min break and there are only 4 toilets, not enough time to get to the loo or grab the free snacks. Other than that it is a great experience."
"We enjoyed our visit to Maidstone studios, the show was great to watch, the seating is a bit tight especially when you are over 6ft tall. Luckily we were moved to seating with leg room. We were told that there would be snacks and refreshments as the show was a double show, we were given Coke to drink and haribo sweets to eat after sitting through the mornings filming before sitting through the afternoons filming. Which I felt was inadequate considering you can not take any food or drink in with you. I will still visit again but I will have the hindsight of knowing there will be no actual snacks on offer and maybe eat in the queue before hand 🤷"
"We visited here for the Peter Pan pantomime (oh yes we did), there was plenty of parking which was free. There was also plenty of staff directing people to the right entrance, they quickly scanned the tickets off my phone and we were in. The show itself was brilliant, live band playing was a nice touch. It was quite cold but I think this was due to a heating problem which they've since resolved, it didn't spoil the experience. We will definitely return if they do another panto next year, next time we will sit a little further back as the speakers were very loud. Overall I would say this was very good value for money!"
